We currently maintain an apiary of bees at our farm, as well as over at Wild Miller Farm in Palermo, where they also aid that farm in crop pollination. We have found over the past few years that growing to additional sites allows use to have bees exposed to a variety of different forage, and conditions — critical especially during years such as this with extreme drought conditions. Our harvest time varies slightly each year based on weather conditions, but we typically harvest mid-late summer and again in the fall. You can find our honey in half pound and one pound jars in our Farm Store.
Interested in getting into beekeeping? We love to chat bees. Stop by during farm hours, or reach out over email, and Alicia will be more than happy to lend some advice or arrange having a peak at the hives.
